Miss International 2013 winner is PHILIPPINES!

Bea Rose Santiago, Miss Philippines, won the Miss International 2013 pageant, at the event held in Tokyo (Japan) on December 17th, bringing home their 5th Miss International crown, and the 3rd 'Big 7' crown of the 2013, after Miss Supranational and Miss World.

She was crowned by Spain's Alejandra Andreu, Miss International 2008, as last year's winner, Ikumi Yoshimatsu of Japan, was unable to attend the event because of her open conflict with a talent agency owner.

Netherlands (1st runner-up), Philippines (Winner), New Zealand (2nd runner-up)

The 1st runner-up is Miss Netherlands, Nathalie den Dekker, and the 2nd runner-up was Miss New Zealand, Casey Dawn Radley.

Miss Colombia, Lorena Hermida, and Miss Hungary, Brigitta Ötvös, were among the Top 5 finalists.

Top 15 semifinalists:

Brazil - Cristina Alves Da Silva
Ecuador - Nataly Arroba Hurtado
Gibraltar - Jamielee Randall
Iceland - Sigrun Eva Armannsdottir
Lithuania - Elma Segzdaviciute
Puerto Rico - Ashley Beth Pérez
Russia - Olga Gaidabura
Spain - Araceli Carrilero Martínez
Thailand - Chonthicha Thiangtham
USA - Andrea Neu

There were some surprises, such as the exclusion of Venezuela from the top 15, and other favorites like Poland, or the host country and last year's winner, Japan, failing as well.

There was also a big mistake during the announcement of the top 15, when the host called 'Holland' (Netherlands) as part of the top 15, but was Poland the one that stepped forward.

Congratulations Philippines (again)!
