Country of the Year 2013 - 5/7

This is how the Country of the Year 2013 ranking looks like after Miss Earth 2013, the 5th 'Big 7' pageant of the year. Let's get a closer look to the important facts after it:

Venezuela gets closer to the 1st place, which still belongs to Philippines, after winning the Miss Earth crown, and Philippines "only" making it to the top 8 there. But still 210 points between them, and only 300 maximum points to go until the end of the year... will Venezuela make it to the top?

Spain, Brazil and France complete the top 5, as before.

USA (Country of the Year 2012 winner) penetrates the top 10 for the first time this year, making it to the 8th place in the ranking, thanks to their top 16 placement in Miss Earth 2013.

Countries such as Thailand, Austria and Korea have experienced a great rise in the ranking, thanks to their runner-up condition in Miss Earth 2013: Thailand is in 17th place (previously in 33rd), Austria in 22nd, and Korea in 27th, with these last two being new entries in the Country of the Year 2013 ranking.
