1st runner-up (or Virreina) was Miss Dominican Republic, Dalia Fernandez.
2nd runner-up (or 1ª finalista) was Miss Mexico, Blanca Cecilia Montaño.

21 countries from America entered this year's competition. Miss Universe Mexico 2009, Karla Carrillo, was co-host of the show. She was 1st runner-up last year in this pageant.
Both winner and 1st runner-up were this year's representatives for Miss Universe 2011, and both did not make the cut.
