Miss International 2011 - Ecuador wins!

María Fernanda Cornejo, Miss Ecuador, had won the Miss International 2011 pageant, held in Chengdu, China.
This is the first ever crown for Ecuador in this competition.
Heavy favourite Miss Venezuela, Jessica Barboza, ended up in the 1st runner-up position, while Asia's best this year, surprising Miss Mongolia, Tugsuu Idersaikhan, ended up in the 2nd runner-up spot. Latinas representatives Miss Puerto Rico, Desiree del Río, and Miss Panama, Keity Mendienta, completed the top 5, making a 4/5 latinas in the top 5 this year.
This is also the 6th consecutive year with a latin or Hispanic American winner.
