Miss TQI 2013 is Miss Latvia!

Miss Tourism Queen International 2013 winner is Miss Latvia, Alise Miskovska. This is the 1st major title for Latvia in pageantry.

The event was held on October 3rd in Xinning, China. There were 43 "nations" competing (at least 4 of them representing territories of China), none of them from the Americas, which was a total downgrade from previous editions.

If there's no final surprises, this pageant will be removed from our 'Big 7' pageants group by the end of the year. This year's edition was a huge disappointment after more than a year waiting for this pageant comeback, therefore it will most probably loose its status.

Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2014 is Miss Toa Baja, Gabriela Berríos!

Gabriela Berríos, 22, from Toa Baja, was announced as the winner of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2014, and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2014. She previously came 2nd runner-up in Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2012, and was sent to Miss Supranational 2012, where she placed as top 20 semifinalist.

1st runner up was Miss Bayamón, Aleyda Ortiz, who might compete in Miss Intercontiental 2013, to be held next December 14th in Germany.

2nd runner-up was Miss Añasco, Stephanie Soto Ríos, who might compete in Miss Supranational 2014.

3rd runner-up was Miss Juana Díaz, Alexandra Porrata.
4th runner-up was Miss Cayey, Patricia Quiñones, who came 1st in our prediction list.
5th runner-up was Miss Río Grande, Larissa Santiago, who fell on stage during the final look segment, but recovered beautifully.

Country of the Year 2013 - 2/7

This is how the Country of the Year leaderboard looks like after Miss World 2013, the 2nd 'Big 7' pageant of the year.

- Philippines continues in the lead, with the perfect score so far, after winning both Miss World and Miss Supranational 2013.
- Following the Asian powerhouse, we find France and Ghana, runners-up of Miss World 2013.
- Completing the top 5, we find Brazil and Indonesia, which both placed in Miss World and Miss Supranational.
- Another strong entrances in the top are Spain and Gibraltar (6th place), and England, Jamaica and Nepal in 9th place.
- Countries that so far have qualified in both pageans so far: Philippines, Brazil, Indonesia, Australia, Canada, India and Ukraine.
