Haiti wins Reina HispanoAmericana 2012



Former Miss Universe Haiti 2010, Sarodj Bertin, has won the 2012 edition of Reina HispanoAmericana.


Reina (Haiti) and Virreina (1st RU) (Spain).

The 1st runner-up, or Virreina, is Miss Spain, Juliana Sampaio, making this year's placement as the highest ever for her country.



Cuba (6th RU), Panama (5th RU), Brazil (4th RU), Paraguay (3rd RU), Haiti (Winner), Spain (1st RU).

Country of the Year 2012 - 3/7



After the conclusion of the 3rd 'Big 7' pageant of the year, Miss International 2012, here are some of the most important changes in the ranking:

  • The top 3 reamins in the same order and the same countries as the eventual Miss World 2012 results, with China leading, followed by Wales and Australia.
  • Rounding out the top 5 of the ranking, we find Brazil and India, both top 7 placers in Miss World 2012, and top 15 semifinalists in Miss International 2012.
  • Japan, Miss International 2012 winner, enters the top in place number 6. Runner-up Finland enters in 10th, and 2nd runner-up, Sri Lanka, joins the list in 13th position.
  • The Philippines is the only country that has qualified in every of the 3 'Big 7' pageants so far of 2012. Currently, the country is in 9th place.


Next Country of the Year stop will come after the conclusion of Miss Intercontinental, in November 23rd, and Miss Earth, in November 24th.



Miss International 2012 - Japan wins at home!



Ikumi Yoshimatsu, from Japan, is the new Miss International 2012, after being crowned in Okinawa, Japan, making history as the 1st ever Miss International winner from Japan.




Paraguay (4th RU), Sri Lanka (2nd RU), Japan (Winner), Finland (1st RU), Dominican Rep. (3rd RU).


1st runner-up was Miss Finland, Viivi Suominen, 2nd runner-up Miss Sri Lanka,
Madusha Rushani Mayadunne, 3rd runner-up Miss Dominican Republic, Melody Mir, and rounding out the top 5 was Miss Paraguay, Nicole Huber, as the 4th runner-up.
